It is divided into two types of systems:<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iapmei.pt\/PRODUTOS-E-SERVICOS\/Incentivos-Financiamento\/Sistemas-de-Incentivos\/Incentivos-Portugal-2020\/SI-Empreendedorismo.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SI Qualified and Creative Entrepreneurship<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0&#8211; aimed at Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) less than 2 years old.\u00a0<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iapmei.pt\/PRODUTOS-E-SERVICOS\/Incentivos-Financiamento\/Sistemas-de-Incentivos\/Incentivos-Portugal-2020\/SI-Inovacao.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SI Productive Innovation<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0&#8211; companies of any nature and under any legal form are beneficiaries.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li><strong>Qualification and Internationalization of SMEs:<\/strong>\u00a0in turn, this support aims to promote the competitiveness and increase the productivity of SMEs, as well as develop the effective presence of SMEs in the global market. It is also divided into two systems:<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iapmei.pt\/PRODUTOS-E-SERVICOS\/Incentivos-Financiamento\/Sistemas-de-Incentivos\/Incentivos-Portugal-2020\/SI-Qualificacao-Individuais.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SI Qualification &#8211; individual project<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; SMEs of any nature and under any legal form are beneficiaries of this measure.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iapmei.pt\/PRODUTOS-E-SERVICOS\/Incentivos-Financiamento\/Sistemas-de-Incentivos\/Incentivos-Portugal-2020\/SI-Qualificacao-Conjuntos.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SI Qualification &#8211; joint project<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; the beneficiaries of this measure are non-profit entities, of an associative nature and with specific skills aimed at SMEs.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li><strong>Research and Technological Development:<\/strong>\u00a0promoting relations between companies and scientific institutions and intensifying R&amp;D (research and development) and knowledge creation efforts are the objectives of this support. You can choose between three support systems, since the recipients of this support are companies of any nature and under any legal form:<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iapmei.pt\/PRODUTOS-E-SERVICOS\/Incentivos-Financiamento\/Sistemas-de-Incentivos\/Incentivos-Portugal-2020\/SI-IDT.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SI R&amp;D Companies\u00a0<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iapmei.pt\/PRODUTOS-E-SERVICOS\/Incentivos-Financiamento\/Sistemas-de-Incentivos\/Incentivos-Portugal-2020\/DI-Nucleos-IDT.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SI R&amp;D Centers<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iapmei.pt\/PRODUTOS-E-SERVICOS\/Incentivos-Financiamento\/Sistemas-de-Incentivos\/Incentivos-Portugal-2020\/SI-Propriedade-Industrial.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SI Industrial Property<\/a><\/li><\/ul><h3>Financial support vouchers for companies<\/h3><p>The Portuguese State also provides\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iapmei.pt\/PRODUTOS-E-SERVICOS\/Incentivos-Financiamento\/Sistemas-de-Incentivos\/Incentivos-Portugal-2020.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vouchers<\/a>\u00a0, which are a simplified incentive system, intended for projects that aim to support the acquisition of consultancy services in the areas of Innovation, Qualification and R&amp;DT (Research and Technological Development) from previously accredited entities.<\/p><h3>Investment support research<\/h3><p>In order to strengthen productivity and national competitiveness,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/portalcompetitividade.adcoesao.pt\/#\/pt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Competitiveness portal<\/a>\u00a0aims to facilitate companies and entrepreneurs in researching investment support.<\/p><p>It provides information on financial support, allowing access to application notices under Portugal 2020 and other EU funding opportunities, including information on business reception infrastructures and technological infrastructures in Portugal, as well as national and international networks to support competitiveness.<\/p><p>Aimed particularly at SMEs, for the different phases of their activity and investment, there is the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/financiamento.iapmei.pt\/inicio\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Financing Portal<\/a>\u00a0which provides various financing solutions with public support.\u00a0<\/p><p>The information is structured according to the needs of companies, their investment strategies (growth, expansion, export, capitalization, etc.), business size or sector of activity.<\/p><p>After simulating the most suitable financing for your company or project, a wide range of solutions is presented, such as Mutual Guarantee, Credit Insurance, Venture Capital, Business Angels, Co-Investment Funds, Real Estate Investment Funds, also covering tax incentives for investment and the capitalization of companies.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><\/div><div><section><div><div><div><div data-fragments-editor-item-id=\"30205-64440255\" data-fragments-editor-item-type=\"fragments-editor-mapped-item\"><div data-analytics-asset-id=\"64440253\" data-analytics-asset-title=\"gestao_empresas\" data-analytics-asset-type=\"web-content\"><div><div><h2>Management of support programs<\/h2><\/div><div><p>The following are responsible for managing the financial support and project hosting programs:\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iapmei.pt\/SOBRE-O-IAPMEI\/Instrumentos-de-Gestao.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IAPMEI<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; is one of the Intermediate Bodies of the Portugal 2020 Incentive Systems, namely in the Incentive System for Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship, in the Incentive System for Qualification and Internationalization of SMEs and in the Incentive System for Research and Technological Development.<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.turismodeportugal.pt\/pt\/O%20que%20fazemos\/DesenvolverApoiarEmpresas\/Paginas\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Turismo de Portugal<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; promotes innovation and entrepreneurship by monitoring and supporting tourism startups and supporting business initiatives through venture capital, real estate investment and mutual guarantee companies, in whose capital it participates.<\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.portugalglobal.pt\/PT\/sobre-nos\/Paginas\/sobre-nos.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AICEP &#8211; Portuguese Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; is the Agency responsible for receiving all foreign investment projects in Portugal and, if necessary, forwarding them to other entities depending on the profile of the project.
